Donald N. Camhi is a Principal and Chair of the Firm's Professional Liability Defense Department. Mr. Camhi restricts his practice to the litigation of medical professional liability cases where he represents integrated delivery systems, multi-hospital systems, stand-alone hospitals, physicians, nurses, technicians, and ancillary healthcare professionals.
He has tried a large number of cases to verdict during his career and handles cases with extremely high damage potential in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties.
Mr. Camhi also assumes the handling of cases tried to verdicts by other firms. The resolution of these cases requires creative strategies. He also provides risk management advice to chief executive officers, risk managers, claims coordinators, and nursing supervisors. As Chair of the Professional Liability Defense Practice Group, Mr. Camhi also spends a substantial amount of time mentoring younger attorneys.
From 2004 through 2020, Mr. Camhi was recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer by his peers as published in Philadelphia Magazine. From 2009 through 2014, he was named a Top 100 Philadelphia Area Super Lawyer following statewide voting and review by a special panel. In addition, in 2009, 2010, 2013, and 2014, Mr. Camhi was named a Top 100 Pennsylvania Super Lawyer following statewide voting and review by a special panel. In 2012, 2013, and 2014 he was also listed in Super Lawyers Business Edition.
