David Renner Presents on Wage Issues, Employment Laws, and Employee Discipline and Discharge on NBI Webinar on April 23


On Thursday, April 23, 2020, David E. Renner served as a member of the faculty for the National Business Institute (NBI) full-day webinar, "Mini Law School for HR Professionals," from 9:00 am - 4:30 pm ET. 

The seminar examined the current issues in human resource law for attorneys, HR personnel, accountants, presidents, and vice presidents. 

Mr. Renner presented three portions of the seminar: 

  • Wage and Benefit Issues: Wage and hour overview and exemption requirements in gray areas such as outside salespeople and highly-paid computer professionals.

  • Other Employment Laws You Need to Know: Including those relating to harassment, discrimination, and disability like FMLA, ADA, and Title VII.

  • Discipline and Discharge - Necessary Documentation: The process and documentation needed for proper employee discipline and discharge.
