“Two Supreme Court cases decided this past year — Badiali v. N.J. Mfrs. Ins. Co. and Wadeer v. N.J. Mfrs. Ins. Co. — highlight the interesting issues that continue to arise within New Jersey’s bad faith jurisprudence, and which continue to challenge attorneys representing policyholders and insurers, as well as the courts,” said Mr. McMonigle.

Mr. McMonigle’s national practice focuses upon the defense and trial of first and third party insurance matters involving coverage issues, alleged bad faith, policyholder fraud, and life, health and disability claims. A veteran litigator, he also provides training to claims professionals and attorneys on the subject of good faith claims handling.

In addition to Insurance Bad Faith in New Jersey, Mr. McMonigle is also the author of Insurance Bad Faith in Pennsylvania, now in its 15th Edition, which examines the important issues relating to bad faith lawsuits under Pennsylvania's common law and under 42 Pa.C.S.A. §8371 - Pennsylvania's "Bad Faith Statute."

Ms. Andreuzzi focuses her litigation practice on advising and defending personal, commercial and surplus line insurers in complex insurance coverage matters and allegations of bad faith claims handling. She has an extensive background in bad faith law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and collaborated with Mr. McMonigle on the 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th editions of Insurance Bad Faith in Pennsylvania.
