Principals Robin Locke Nagele and John Joseph Speak at AHLA's Physicians and Hospitals Law Institute Feb. 5 and 6 in New Orleans, La.

Internal Investigations & White Collar Defense Principal John N. Joseph and Health Care Principal Robin Locke Nagele presented at the American Health Lawyers Association's (AHLA) Physicians and Hospitals Law Institute on February 5 and 6 in New Orleans, La. 

The AHLA's Physicians and Hospitals Law Institute focuses on legal challenges faced by physicians and their counsel, the legal challenges faced by hospitals and health systems and their counsel, and the legal issues of interest to both segments of the health care delivery system. 

Mr. Joseph co-presented with Robert A. Wade in a presentation titled "Complex Stark Implementation and Self-Disclosure," on February 5 at 4:30 pm CT. The presentation covered challenges regarding written agreements, fair market value, and commercial reasonableness; how to conduct a Stark audit, and; self-disclosure protocol, among other topics. 

Ms. Locke Nagele co-presented on February 6 at 8:30 am CT with Deborah A. Datte in a presentation titled, "Population Health: Confronting the Legal and Operational Challenges of Managing Health Across Multiple Providers and Health Systems. The presentation covered a number of topics, including: managing potential antitrust exposures, credentialing/peer review of providers and dealing with non-compliance, and HIPPA/EMR.
