Sid Steinberg and Dan Thornton Examine Impact of Gender Stereotyping in Employment Case for The Legal Intelligencer

In the May 6, 2020 article, "Perception Turns to Harsh Reality as Gender Stereotyping Claim Heads to Jury," for The Legal Intelligencer, Sidney R. Steinberg and Daniel F. Thornton examine a recent case in the M.D. of Pa. where sexual discrimination extended to an employee's appearance and gender stereotypes.

The authors note: 

"Sex discrimination is broader than many realize, extending even to the interplay between an employee’s appearance and gender stereotypes. This concept was recently addressed...where the court denied summary judgment after finding that the employee had stated a viable claim for sex discrimination based on gender stereotyping and that numerous factual disputes required a jury’s consideration."
