White Collar Chair Levine and Associate Rein to Discuss Facebook SCOTUS Case at FBA Criminal Law Committee Presentation on Feb. 26
Internal Investigations & White Collar Defense Chair Ronald H. Levine and Associate Abraham J. Rein participated in a Federal Bar Association (FBA), Criminal Law Committee presentation, "1st Amendment Meets Facebook at the Supreme Court: US v. Elonis," on February 26 at 12:00 pm ET. The presentation took place at Post & Schell's Philadelphia Conference Center.
The presentation examined the background to - and potential implications of - the case of Anthony D. Elonis vs. United States, which went before the U.S. Supreme Court in December 2014. Mr. Levine and Mr. Rein led the appeal in the case, which may ultimately help decide "how prosecutors, judges, and juries should evaluate seemingly threatening language" or a "true threat" on the Internet.
